Victoria Gamble is considered one of the preeminent go-to recruiters on the West Coast. She focuses on the placement of partners and practice groups with the top law firms in the country as well as the establishment of new offices.
Described by clients as “uniquely informed on the market”, Victoria has successfully made partner placements with Morgan Lewis & Bockius, McDermott, Will & Emery, Sheppard Mullin, Holland & Knight, Squire Patton Boggs, Locke Lord, Venable, Mintz Levin, Loeb & Loeb, Procopio and Polsinelli, among others. She was instrumental in the opening of Vedder Price’s Los Angeles and San Francisco offices. She is adept at understanding market trends and the specific needs of both client and candidate.
Victoria has been in the business of legal recruiting for over 16 years. She knows the market: both current trends and its history. Prior to HGB, Victoria spent 6 years with one of the most well-established recruiting firms in California. She also previously served in the recruiting departments of two prominent AM LAW firms; Paul Weiss in New York and Morgan Lewis in Los Angeles and Orange County. Victoria earned her B.A. in History and Sociology of Science from the University of Pennsylvania where she was a Division 1 rower all four years. She is an active alum involved in interviewing and recommending local high school students from the southern California region as future graduates of the university.

Romina entered the legal recruiting industry in early 2021; it didn’t take long before she made partner level placements at Perkins Coie, Goodwin Procter and Reed Smith. Her background in digital media and journalism (Guest of a Guest, Modern Luxury Media, LA Weekly) helped polish her communication and research skills and set her up for a seamless transition into the Big Law universe. Romina cares deeply about matching partners with the right firm to ensure long-term success for all parties.
Romina earned a degree in History with a concentration in European Studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz. She will always be a proud Banana Slug. She sang for three years with the Angeles Chorale in Los Angeles; highlights included performing at the Dolby Theatre and recording in Hollywood’s famed Capitol Records. She resides in North County San Diego.

She works with the world’s best law firms in addressing their strategic growth plans primarily on the east coast in Washington DC, New York, and other regional markets.
Prior to her legal recruiting career, Blair spent twenty years as a private jet charter broker, so she relishes her role as a connector and trusted advisor to her clients. She is praised for her abiding commitment to addressing her client’s needs and she relishes being able to change lives within the legal community.
Originally from California, Blair grew up in Newport Beach, California and spent three years in Europe. She graduated University of California, Los Angeles with a B.A. in Communication Studies. Blair lives in Princeton, New Jersey with her husband, teenage son, and their Aussiedoodle, Luna. She is an avid skier and competitive tennis player, playing on multiple USTA teams.

Lavinia Mason recently joined Gamble Partner Placement in August of 2024. Prior to Gamble Partner Placement, Lavinia started in the legal staffing profession in 2004. She started out as a Business Development Manager, and then transitioned to recruiting support staff in 2006. Lavinia started recruiting attorneys in 2015 ranging from Partners to Associates. She has strong recruiting skills, locating difficult candidates. Lavinia enjoys traveling to include a recent trip to Japan. She also loves to shop until she drops. Lavinia is very proud of her only son, a Fellow Rheumatologist at UCSD Medical Center that also includes a PhD in Immunology.
